In fact only a very few people in this virtual world really know about me, still not much about me. I simply enjoy being virtual in a world of words.
So I am really touched with this specially dedicated post on a teachers day, making me to go back to my days in NIT. Thanks a lot Utkarsh for your kind words..

Both of them were confused.

One asked “Which one should we opt?” The other replied “Actually I wish to learn both. Learning a new thing is always challenging. But I am ready to accept the challenge and move on”

The first girl “But we don’t have a chance to opt both, we can take only one of them. It’s difficult to identify the better one”

The second girl was still in her thoughts on learning both.

Then one of their favourite teacher appeared on their way. Both of them greeted her and had some casual talks. The first girl used the chance to share their confusion with her. And the teacher could add some new perspectives to their problem and obviously it helped the girls. And finally they could come up with a solution for their problem.

In fact in different ways, we are all surrounded with tons of information. But rarely do we pay attention to those signals around us or rarely we collect something out of it. Here the information appeared in the form of teacher and the first girl could use it to her advantage.

The second girl was not completely unobservant about the world around her. But the point is she couldn’t take advantage of the situation.

So are you able to take advantage of every situation whenever possible?

Teacher : I saw some of your paintings.

Student  : I am really passionate on painting. How do you feel on them, Sir?

Teacher : Good..You paint well. But your passion alone won’t drive you.

Student  : I am in damn love with painting. But yes, sometimes I feel bored.

Teacher : It’s not just enough to have a passion and skill.

Student  : Sir..?

Teacher : It’s not just enough to wish for something or want something. You need to handle the boredom of repetition, the boredom of repeated process.

Student  : Sir, how can I escape from that boredom?

Teacher :  You cannot escape from that boredom. It is humane. You need to find your own way to work through boredom. There are no magic sticks to inspire you every time. You need to put in hours and time. You should not make yourself driven by priceless emotions when you have a great goal to achieve. You need to love that boredom of repetition and make yourself under continuous practice.

Student  : Yes Sir, I understand, ‘It’s not enough to have a passion, need to have a work ethic too’. Anyone can work better when inspired, but the real performer is the one who performs the best even when no one is there to motivate him.

A good teacher always hears whatever he is telling in front of the students. So he is teaching himself.

Students might be hearing 50-70 % of whatever the teacher told. But the teacher would be hearing 100%, assuming himself  to be dedicated upon the subject.

He becomes the best teacher if he could motivate his students to generate curiosity and desire to learn on their own.

He may not be able to answer the entire questions asked by students on the same moment. (He would be answering after referencing if couldn’t do on the spot). But even then, I will rate him as the best teacher as he could make the students to think and raise questions from their curiosity.curious
