I have a lot of experience on this “shock” thing. We were working on a TV project and used to do a lot of testing, and every now and then we used to get a “jhatka”. Best way to avoid it is by walking bare foot. Though it looks odd in a workplace, we had no other option but to work bare footed. 😀
Yes. It is supposed to be that way. But may be, when we walk bare footed, all those charges are grounded. We had tried changing chappies, wearing shoes but nothing worked.
yes.. barefooted means, body provides the best conducting path, leading to ground and so electrons are infact passing through the body creating electric shock..i don’t recommend you doing your work bare footed..i feel it is more dangerous..
It was long ago. 🙂
We never really understood why it was so, though our whole team comprised of electronics engineers. May be those electrons were friends with rubber shoes. 😉
Let me tell you something about electrons..everything is made up of atoms and atoms are made of protons ,neutrons and electricity.soo at the atomic distance two atoms repel each other because of like forces of protons.Soo when you are touching something, you are actually not touching it,you are just going near to nuclear distance and that repelling force you feel is called touch which is sensed by nerves

but bare footed increases the conductivity. so how then..

ha ha.. i liked it.. who knows that electrons may have some emotions and all..
Sorry I meant chappals. Typing on phone with auto correcrtion enabled is so bad!
he he ..i got it
Hehehe.. even u’r obsessed with science. once i experienced shock, it was like oh no.. vala feeling. Electrons are naughty at times 😛
ha ha naughty electrons..can’t escape from this static electric shocks..
😀
I too have become a fan of the electrons (ha-ha) , loved your writings mam, they are simply so creative…
thank you Prerna..happy to read your comment..to find a similar comrade..
yes it is..how wonderful they are even being so so tiny..,right
🙂
