True that nothing can be done on the incident in past. But something more to be done now for the future. I don’t understand how could she so easily say me to forget it. If I forget it and forgive them, the past will happen again and again with someone else too..
So no need to forget it as such if it has affected you. It’s not like blood for blood, but it’s for justice and fairness at least in future.

Akhila, Thank you for being a strong individual who dares to make change. It seems you and I are one in the same. Different situations, but same outcome in that people are trying to sweep under the rug something that “needs to be dealt with and not overlooked” in order get better…for all. Such a shame that those we give a high level of responsibility and regard with the most pay look to get out of doing their work. I commend you.
