She asked me “What do you like about being a woman?”

Hmm.. Nice Question

Indeed, not hearing it for the first time, but thinking deeply on the same for the first time.

I have created a personal reality where I can be both, or either/or and I find that very satisfying. Mostly we’re talking about roles, not mind, so I can perform as a woman, and as a man… as long as we leave that romance and sex thing out of it! Both, men and women can be beautiful… or ugly. Both can live compassionately or can practice hate. Ultimately it makes little difference to the overall picture of civilization whether one is male or female. What is important is what’s in each mind… and heart. My opinion only!

You said it absolutely right “what’s important is what’s in each mind”.. in fact I was finding it difficult to have an answer when I thought about that question..like, first of all I thought it’s my adaptability that I like the most..then on rethinking, I feel it would be the same if I were a male too.. in that way whatever I thought I feel like it would be the same irrespective of my gender (obviously keeping away the feminine specifics) as my mind is not gonna change..so my answer would be to the question “what do you like about being a human?”

I like being a man for I could fall in love with a woman :-). What Say Akhila, it turned poetic 🙂

Being a woman is the best thing about being a woman. We have been specifically designed to shoulder a certain role, to mother children, to understand that patience is a virtue, that compassion is life giving and so much more. I believe a woman is special as much as a man is as we have both been created with utmost passion by the creator. The challenge is to respect and to live up to it.

I totally agree with you dear. Sometimes I feel we should show some empathy towards our own self

Yes! More than empathy, it is respect. If we learn to respect ourselves then automatically we respect others and we get it back too. It comes to a full circle. Is it not, Akhi?
